The Dandenong Valley Wetlands consist of 4 large lake/ponds with 3 smaller ponds around them. We will walk around the outside of the 4 lakes. At one stage it is like walking beside a canal, and later there is water on either side of you. At all times it is countryside walking with birdsong around you. After walking around the lakes we will do a 15 minute walk around a delightful wetland adjacent to Mulgrave Reserve, and another short woodland loop. The sound of birds and frogs is wonderful.

This is a flat walk – paved bike paths, gravel tracks around the wetlands and bushland tracks.

The walk starts from Mulgrave Reserve, Garnett Road, Wheelers Hill at 9.30am, for Morning Tea, and should finish by 1.0pm.  As you enter the drive into the Mulgrave Football Club off Garnett Road, there are car park spaces on either side - park in one of these spaces about half way into the club.  Don't drive all the way into the club.
