Maroondah Bushwalking Club is based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
We are a club of about six hundred members with a comprehensive program of walks and other activities throughout the year, at levels from beginners through to experienced. Features of the club include: -
- day walks - Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday
- weekend overnight walks
- extended walks in many areas of Australia
- cross-country skiing trips, cycling trips and base camps
- social events
- training - walking skills, navigation, leadership, etc.
- monthly club meetings with guest speakers on a wide range of topics
- "Footnotes", our monthly newsletter
- lending library of books, maps and magazines (available at meetings)
- hire Equipment (backpacks, tents, stoves, sleeping mats, japara jackets, etc.)
- insurance cover whilst walking with the Club
