About the Club
Maroondah Bushwalking Club is based in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

We are a club of about six hundred members with a comprehensive program of walks and other activities throughout the year, at levels from beginners through to experienced. Features of the club include: -
  • day walks - Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday
  • weekend overnight walks
  • extended walks in many areas of Australia
  • cross-country skiing trips, cycling trips and base camps
  • social events
  • training - walking skills, navigation, leadership, etc.
  • monthly club meetings with guest speakers on a wide range of topics
  • "Footnotes", our monthly newsletter
  • lending library of books, maps and magazines (available at meetings)
  • hire Equipment (backpacks, tents, stoves, sleeping mats, japara jackets, etc.)
  • insurance cover whilst walking with the Club
